Subject: Conviction and Sentence Of James Ray Wilson

I am very pleased to inform you that James Ray Wilson was convicted and
sentenced.  Wilson was convicted of his crimes on March 17, 1998.  We began
the sentencing phase on March 17, 1998 but had to postpone due to some minor
delays with the defense council's expert witness.  The Sentencing phase was
          completed today March 28,1998.

Wilson plead guilty to the charges to avoid a Trial.  The guilty plea was with
a 25 year cap on sentencing.

          The sentence is as follows:

          Reduction in rank to E-1
Forfeiture of all pay and allowances
          Dishonorable discharge from the Military
          13 years confinement.

My family and I are very pleased with this sentence, and are grateful that
this phase is over with after 7 longs months.  It gave my husband and I great
pleasure to see Wilson escorted away in handcuffs.
Now my family and our daughter can all begin the healing process.

My husband and I want you and the other wonderful Pagans who have rendered
their unconditional support to know how very grateful we are to all of you.

Lynn Wilson still supports her husband and has not  in any way, shape, or
form, has not supported  her daughter through this whole ordeal.   To this day
she believes that he has done nothing wrong and even wrote the judge a letter
defending Wilson.  Wilson also referred to our daughter as the "Devil Child"
and that is why he did what he did to her.  I hope that you will make all
other Pagan people aware of these two individuals that has done nothing but
hurt and hinder the progress that you have made over the years of not being
          "devil worshippers and child molesters."

Due process has been achieved and accomplished and now Wilson is paying for
his crimes.  To all the people who defended him and tried to blame things on
my family I hope you are now aware how horribly wrong you were.   My husband
and I  have no hard feeling to any of those persons because ignorance is
          sometimes unavoidable.

Whether or not we believe in the same "God" We still wish that God blesses all
of you wonderful people who have supported us wholeheartedly the last 7
          months.

          Thank You!!!!
          Best wishes to all......
          Michael and Cheryl Materne
