Our name "GUTS" does not exactly invoke a pretty picture.  It's not meant to.  "GUTS" accurately describes what we do and what we need to have to do it.  It takes guts to just stand there, not reacting, when some drunk calls you foul names and then perhaps pukes on your new suede boots.  It takes guts to be the last person on the land to go into the tornado shelter (usually carrying a pig or some other reluctant farm animal).  It takes guts to tell your life mate, "Yes dear, I understand that the Tantric Magic workshop you attended has left you longing for my companionship this evening, but I'm scheduled to go sit in a field and stare at some parked cars for the next 6 hours.  Can you hold that thought?"

Guardians United To Serve do all this and more.  We are a network of independent Guardians, or Guardian Households dedicated to serving the Pagan Community at events, festivals, gatherings, and occasionally on an individual basis if the need arises.  We are Pagan Protectors who come in every size, shape, sex, color, and age.  We are people who take great personal satisfaction in being loved, needed and respected.  We desire to be the person someone can turn to when they need help, and we train to insure that we are fit to meet whatever challenge they present us with.  It is a well known fact that a proficient Guardian can fix absolutely anything on the festival grounds with a multi-tool, a roll of duck tape, and a coat hanger.

Hail, heat, lightning, tornados, hurricanes, fires and flood are all routine to a veteran Guardian. Dealing with lost children, parents, keys or cars; medical emergencies, accidents, etc. are ordinary occurrences for us.   Skunks in port-o-lets, cows in campsites, someone with their bare butt stuck in 5 gallon bucket and other  bizarre circumstances are our specialty.  Yes, large paint buckets do make nice primitive potties but without a plastic liner a Guardian must occasionally explain the concept of "suction" to a very unhappy camper ... with a straight face no less. A good Guardian also knows how to poke a hole in the bucket (with the aforementioned multi-tool) ABOVE the waterline.  This is our world.  It's not glamorous, but it is gratifying.   If you need us, we're here, and we're happy to serve.
