Subject: Check your credit card bill after cancelling Buyers Club account.
To: CyberPagan@outofthedark.com

A couple of years ago I was a member of Damarks Buyers Club. I canceled my membership by phone and didn't make any other purchases after that. I started to get requests to rejoin, that is how I know they were aware of the cancellation. Well, a year later I happened to review a credit card bill I had just received. On that bill I saw a charge for payment for Darmark Buyers Club. I checked back a year and they had also charged me for the year following my cancellation.

I called Damark Customer Service. They credited my credit card account for the current year but they refused to returne the money for the year directly following the cancellation. They blamed the computer for automatically continuing to charge my credit card. I was so angry after being past around and explaining I just gave up.

That is why I am so glad I ran into this site so I can vent and their warn customers.

If I had not checked that credit card bill I believe they would still be charging me for a service I wasn't even using, even though they had a record of my cancellation. Of course, they blamed the computer for automatically continuing to charge my credit card.

So, if you are a Danmark Buyers Club member and cancel make sure to check your credit card bill to make sure Damark stops charging you membership. Unless you catch it right away they will not take accountability and they will not refund the money.
