I placed an order from a Damark magazine that my neighbor showed me. I wrote down the item numbers and information about the items then called Damark a few days later to place my order. I had no idea that there were certain item numbers for certain consumers and my neighbor didn't inform me about this because the Damark magazine belonged to her husband. She also was not aware of a difference. Her husband had membership and I didn't find out about all these different magazines until my credit card was debited over $1300 in addition to the two items I ordered. When I called Damark to inquire about the outrageous charges, they told me that I owed that amount from previous purchases. I was furious!!  The truth of the matter was that my neighbor's husband owed Damark so since I used his magazine (according to Damark) it was I whom they should take the money owed. Damark is CRAZY! How could they
charge monies owed them to someone with a totally different name and address on a credit card account than the debtor who owed them money ?

Since my daughter is a college student and she uses my credit card too, there was a hold placed on my credit card while this was in dispute (which went on for over a month) she was out of money for school when she needed it. I asked Damark nicely for some type of compensation because of this, their (rep's) exact response was, "Tough luck! We're not giving you any kind of
compensation."I felt no need to wish them 'bad luck' or respond. I knew the day would come,
and I see many have come.
