Hi ya, guess we really should have searched the web abit more before we bought our computer last spring.
We purchased a Compaq Presario 5002CA and have nothing but grief with it. It has been in for repairs three times
* motherboard replaced
* hard drive replaced
* CPU replaced
* memory to be replaced if anyone can ever find where it was shipped to!

and prior to that we'd been talking to service technicians on the phone to try to solve our various problems;
* computer freezes up
* computer is noisy
* dial up networking defaults are NEVER saved, we must go through the settings each time we log on-line
* computer screen flickers
* computer wakes itself from hibernate mode
* computer can't reboot from hibernate mode and on and on...........

We began communicating with service techniciansd three days after we bought this thing!As for customer support, if you talk to more than one person (and you will), everyone has a different idea but they don't communicate well with each other.
I asked a customer service rep. who her supervisor was as we weren't happy with her help, she apparently is the supervisor (and has no boss?)!
Here we are still waiting for a computer that works, we might has well have burned our money. Compaq doe not in our opinion value their customers nor do they understand customer satisfaction.
Our recommendation; buy anything but this brand! Our next computer will definitely be something else.
