Thanks for your notes on "Computer Rennasaince" .  I, too, had similar problems with these computer PRO's. Needing a lap-top very fast, as well as in-expensive, I went to them. I managed to get a decent one at a good price considering the limited capacity of the machine.  I paid for the machine, as well as paying for the needed upgrades, and desired accessories.

The very night that I brought the machine home from the store, the 80meg drive crashed. The techs were able to replace the drive, after 10 days, with a 3 gig drive. But I had to pay for the drive, as well as for the labor. After much bitching, I was able to get them to remove the cost of the labor, yet they still wanted payment for the drive.

I began contemplating this situation for a while. When I had brought the lap top back for repairs, I had brought in no accessories or components. The refund that I was being offered was for the full sale amount. (Get it...Accessories and all...) The sales clerk, being young, as well as sick of seeing me, had agreed to let me use the refund as credit. I was able to use the refund total to buy a CPU. He then assumed that I had had a mouse, he should allow that too, mike, speakers...

They may be ignorant, dim witted, and many other adjectives, but those same people sometimes can be beaten.

Peace

Bob
