CompUSA spends more money keeping "guards" at the front door, than they do
on hiring helpful-knowledgeable sales people.  You can never find a helpful
sales person, but you can always count on a "guard" at the front door to
check your bag.  These "guards" have no authority to stop you when you exit
(a police officer can't even do that without cause), but most customers
think they have no choice in the matter.

I was in San Francisco the other day at a CompUSA store.  I was carrying a
backpack and on my way out a guy told me that he needed to look inside my
bag.  I just laughed and walked out.  The guy gave me a dirty look like he
was going to arrest me...what a joke!!!  I wish he had tried to stop me.
What a lawsuit that would be.

This shows you that, for a "computer store", CompUSA has very low tech
security measures.  Ever try to get refund?  What other store do you know of
that makes you fill out a refund form by hand?  Low tech!  What a joke!!
Who is running that business??

I will "browse" CompUSA, but I avoid making any purchases there.  Browse
CompUSA and then make you purchases online at another company.  If you do
want to shop in a store, go to Circuit City.  Circuit City is by far a
better place to shop, with professional and courteous staff.  Their prices
are also much lower.  I really can't believe that CompUSA is not out of
business yet.
